Four favorite mystery or spooky novels that movie makers failed to capture-

One – Rebecca by Daphne Du Maurier, I love the way she has woven beauty with mystery in her epic story, she is such an amazing story teller that a genius like Hitchcock could not capture the beauty of Rebecca in his movie.

Two- Dracula by Brome Stoker- This is another story that is so called ghost story but it is more of an exquisitely written novel with little eerie incidents here and there. Another story that no one has been able to capture in movies, not even closely!

Duma’s Key by Stephan King, it is one of the spookiest ghost stories I have ever read! I have read it in broad daylight, sitting in middle of a room where people were coming and going, still it gave me chills. I don’t think anyone will be able to capture this story too!

Hound of Baskerville by Arthur Conan Doyle- This again is a classic wrapped in the covers of a mystery novel. No one can beat Doyle when it came to writing intelligent mysteries. In this one he has magically blended the chill, I don’t think anyone will ever be able to make a fitting movie on this one too!
