She looked at the ruby, red like a drop of blood, embedded in the gold ring. “It’s beautiful!”
“Thanks!” he smiled, “I knew I will bring it back for you, the moment I saw it!”
“Thanks honey!” she got up and kissed his cheeks. “If I could write I might have written the story of your adventure in the deep forests of Assam! How you fought the tribal’s and the untamed wild to bring this exquisite gift for your fiancé!”
He grinned happily.
There was no use telling her that he stole the ring from a drunkard sleeping in an alley and made up the story. She is so gullible!
